Frequently Asked Questions

What if I am not an Athlete?

You do not have to be involved in a competitive sport to be seen here. We love helping people stay strong and return to an active lifestyle. If you want to be strong and healthy as you age, come see us. If you enjoy hiking or playing with your kids, we're here to help. Give us a call to see if you're the right fit.

How late do you stay open?

We understand that it is not always easy to miss work or school for a medical appointment.  For that reason, we provide evening and weekend appointments.  Our latest appointment is 6:00PM (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday only).  Saturdays we are open from 10:00AM – 1:00PM.

Do you offer Dry Needling?

Yes.  Click here to learn more about our Dry Needling services.

Do you work with Children?

Yes. We work with youth athletes who participate in sports like gymnastics, track, soccer, or football. If your child plays a sport and needs physical therapy, please feel free to contact us. For therapy needs related to developmental delays or genetic syndromes, reach out to a pediatric physical therapy specialist in your area.

Do you take my insurance?

We work for our patients, not the insurance companies. This means we provide the treatments that are truly best for you, not just what insurance will cover.

We are an out-of-network, cash-pay practice. We will not bill your insurance company directly.

We want you to get care when you need it, not when it’s "approved." Even after your recovery, we will be here with ongoing support to help you stay strong and healthy. If you want a team that will be with you every step of the way, we’re the ones for you!

How much does it cost?

The costs depends on how the exact treatment program you need. We do not provide cookie-cutter treatment plans. We consider your injury history, goals, first appointment, and schedule.   After your first appointment you will know how many visits you will need to get you back to the activities you enjoy.  Give us a call if you would like to discuss your situation and receive a quote.

Will my insurance reimburse me?

Typically, patients are reimbursed but it depends on the insurance company. To find out, here's what you can do: Contact your insurance company. Let them know you plan to receive physical therapy at an out-of-network clinic. Ask them what you can expect in reimbursement or application to deductible. Let them know you will send in self-claims. Our office will provide you the correct form to send in self-claims.

Can I use my HSA or FSA card?

Yes.  We accept FSA (Flexible Spending Account) or HSA (Health Savings Account) debit cards.

How long will my sessions last?

It depends on your condition and the types of treatments used. Below is a general idea of how long each session will be.

Physical Therapy Assessment: 90 minutes

Physcial Therapy Treatment Session: 30 - 60 minutes

Runner's Assessment: 2 hours

Run Coaching Sessions: 60 minutes

Do I need a referral from my Physician?

No.  Tennessee is a direct-access state. This allows you to see a physical therapist without a physician's referral.
